What happens when you open a page

When you request a page, your device transmits technically necessary data to the server hosting this website — including the IP address, the time of access, the address requested and information about your browser and operating system. This data is required to deliver the page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts and images

All fonts and all images are served from this server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party service.

Enquiry form

When you submit the enquiry form, the details you enter are used solely to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). They are not used for advertising and not passed to third parties who are not involved in answering it.

Instead of the form you can always call or send an email.

Appointment booking (cal.com)

On some pages you can book an appointment directly. As long as you do not open the calendar, nothing is loaded: all you see is a button, and no connection to cal.com is made.

Only when you click a booking button (such as “Book a time”) is the calendar loaded from cal.com, together with a small script from cal.com that fits it into the page. The provider is Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. From that moment cal.com learns that you visited this page and receives your IP address. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — the click is that consent, and without it nothing happens.

If you go on to book, you enter your name, e-mail address and chosen time directly with cal.com. Those details are processed there to arrange the appointment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and passed to us as a booking confirmation. The privacy policy of cal.com applies in addition.

Booked calls take place over “Cal Video”, the video service run by cal.com. When you enter the room, audio and video are transmitted through their servers; nothing is recorded. If you would rather talk on the phone, say so in the booking — a phone call does not involve this service.

The servers of cal.com are located in the United States. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If you would rather not send data to the USA, please use one of the other routes — e-mail, phone or the contact form; for arranging an appointment they are equivalent.

Video on the home page (YouTube)

There is a film on the home page. As long as you do not start it, nothing is loaded from YouTube: what you see is an image from our own server, and no connection to Google is made.

Only when you click “Play the film” is the player loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. From that moment Google learns that you visited this page and receives your IP address; Google’s privacy policy then applies in addition. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — the click is that consent, and without it nothing happens.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Cookies and your shortlist

This website sets no cookies. Nothing recognises you across visits and nothing is passed to third parties.

When you put a photograph on your shortlist, your selection is stored in your browser’s local storage — on your device only. It goes nowhere until you send the quote yourself, and you can remove it again at any time in the shortlist.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact the address given above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
